This is us

We are the Beards. Wade and CeeJay. In early 2016, we decided we wanted to do something different with our lives. So we sold our house, sold most of our belongings, quit our jobs and left Houston, TX in search of the American dream. We moved to Sugartown, LA and began construction on what would become the Sugar Chateau. A bed and breakfast(brunch really), wedding venue and event center located 19 miles east of DeRidder, LA on Hwy 112 and about an hour north of Lake Charles, LA.

I am the resident photographer, and most of the photos you’ll see on this site, Facebook and other places have been taken by me. CeeJay is the resident decorator/idea person/wedding planner and hostess with the mostess who is essentially responsible for the way this entire place looks and feels. Our goal is to provide you and your family with a memory you’ll love to look back on for the rest of your lives.
